Ben Kweller

Singer/songwriter BEN KWELLER parlayed a love of music fostered in Greenville, TX to become a favorite of the New York independent scene.  He’s been called everything from balladeer to punk rocker, anti-folker to indie-popper. After a six-year run with the group Radish, Ben moved to NYC to embark on a solo career.  His EP Freak Out, It's Ben Kweller was noticed by Evan Dando of The Lemonheads, Jeff Tweedy, Juliana Hatfield and Guster, who all took him out with them on tour.  A first solo studio CD, Sha Sha featured the rock single, Wasted & Ready.  In 2008, he moved to Austin, TX, where he produced his country album, Changing Horses.  Of the experience Ben says: "People are asking me, ‘why did you wake up and decide to make a country album?’ To them I say, ‘I didn’t. It’s been in me the whole time.”
