David Rawlings

It is said that you'll rarely see anything like singer DAVID RAWLINGS playing his trademark 1935 Epiphone Olympic archtop guitar in performance.  His chops matured during the 80s as student at the famed Berklee School of Music.  Now performing as THE DAVE RAWLINGS MACHINE, he is best known as the long-time harmonic musical partner of singer-songwriter Gillian Welch.  He produced her albums Soul Journey and Time (The Revelator), which earned him a Grammy nomination.  His stamp may also be heard on the Bright Eyes album Cassadega; Ryan Adams' Heartbreaker (where he co-wrote To Be Young (is to be sad, is to be high) and Touch, Feel and Lose); and discs by Old Crow Medicine Show and Robyn Hitchcock.
